Privacy Notice

Last updated: 25 July 2026. This notice is published in English. An Azerbaijani version is available on request at welcome@vmh.az.

Who we are

VMH (Vergi · Mühasibatlıq · Hüquq) is a tax, accounting and legal advisory practice based in Baku, Azerbaijan. We operate the website vmh.az and act as the controller of the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide why and how it is used.

For any question about this notice or about your personal data, contact us at welcome@vmh.az or +994 70 270 70 22.

What we collect

We collect only two categories of data through this website:

  • What you send us. When you submit the enquiry form we receive your name, email address, and the message you write. On the English form we also ask for your company name and country of incorporation. Phone number is optional. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or telephone instead, we receive whatever you choose to share there.
  • Analytics data. If you consent, Google Analytics 4 records how pages are used — pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device and browser type, and referring source. We do not receive your full IP address, and we do not use analytics data to identify individuals.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send through this website, sensitive personal data or confidential client documents. Once an engagement begins we will tell you which secure channel to use.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and discuss possible work. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • To keep a record of enquiries and correspondence. Basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate business records, and, once you become a client, compliance with the record-keeping obligations that apply to our profession.
  • To measure how the website is used. Basis: your consent, which you give or refuse through the banner and can change at any time.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies of its own. It does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media trackers.

Google Analytics 4 is loaded with Google Consent Mode and starts in a denied state, so no analytics cookies are written until you accept. If you accept, Google sets cookies in the _ga family to distinguish returning visitors; these typically expire after two years. If you decline, analytics storage stays off.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again. You can also block analytics entirely with your browser's tracking protection or an extension — the site works normally either way.

Who processes data on our behalf

  • Formspree (United States) — receives and forwards enquiry-form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4, only where you have consented.
  • Hostinger — hosts this website and our email, and processes standard server logs.

These providers act on our instructions under contract. Because some are based outside Azerbaijan and the European Economic Area, your data may be transferred abroad; those transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, so that we can recognise follow-up correspondence. Where an engagement begins, records are kept for as long as the professional, tax and statutory retention rules that apply to that work require. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS with a content security policy and related protections. Access to our inbox is restricted to VMH personnel. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send confidential documents through the form.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place.

To exercise any of these, email welcome@vmh.az. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In Azerbaijan, personal data is regulated under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Personal Data.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the way we handle data changes — for example if we add a new tool to the site. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

This notice describes how personal data is handled through vmh.az. It is not legal advice, and it does not form part of any engagement terms agreed separately with VMH.
